Our Nuclear Future?

European Youth Media Project, Action Academy and Peace Boat delegation 2007

BANg Youth Network

The summer programme of BANg 2007 consists of three parts:
- a media project to raise awareness among young people on the nuclear weapons issue, by a postcard competition, creative workshops to develop an information poster for schools on nuclear weapons in Europe, and a film project in cooperation with Downtown Community TV, New York.
- A Youth Action Academy at Glasgow/Faslane, for creative non-violent action, information, and to exchange and develop ideas on the media project.
- A group of five girls from three European countries to travel on Peace Boat (www.peaceboat.org) to New York, to join the exciting intercultural athmosphere and workshops on board, to do a Nagasaki Day action in New York and bring our message to the UN.

We are very thankful for all the support we are getting to realise this voluntary youth project.
