European Youth Network for Nuclear Disarmament
Welcome to the website of BANg
At the Review Conference of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty at the UNO in 2005 in New York, for the first time youth have been able to raise their voice. Still, the conference failed. Therefore, some youth from Europe decided to found a European Youth Network for Nuclear Disarmament to tackle the threat of nuclear war by youths from all over Europe. So in October 2005 in Milano, Italy BANg was born!
The network intends to offer youth a space to develop and implement their own strategy to achieve peace and nuclear disarmament in Europe and in the world. It is also a marketplace of ideas to exchange successfull experiences, tricks and information.By now, BANg has over 100 members from various organisations in a dozen countries.

27 April to May 2012: NPT PrepCom at the United Nations in Vienna, Austria. At the end of April, 40 young people from all over Europe will travel to the UN in Vienna to raise their voice for the abolition of nuclear weapons - YOU can be part of them! Get the flyer and all information under www.nptyouth.org, and spread the word! Applications will be open from 1st February to 24th February 2012. Hope to see you in Vienna!

Nuclear Abolition Day is an annual global day of action for a treaty to outlaw and eliminate all nuclear weapons. It is coordinated by the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons. The date changes from year to year depending on significant events. International Youth Meeting for a Culture of Peace

July 8 to 16, 2011, Varennes-Vauzelles and Garchizy, France: Take action for a culture of Peace - against the culture of war! The French peace movement (Le Mouvement de la Paix) together with BANg invites young people from all over the world for nine days in Summer 2011 to Bourgogne, France. The meeting will have two parts. In the first six days we will have a Forum with talks, workshops and a Citizen Inspection at a near-by French nuclear weapon base. For the last three days there will be a Festival with artistic activities, concert, sports and others.
