International Delegation

International Youth Delegation to the Review Conference of the Non-Proliferation Treaty
28.4.-31.5.2010 in New York

Since 40 year governments negotiate about steps to abolish nuclear weapons. But today still 20,000 nuclear weapons exist which endanger our lives every day because they could be used intentional or accidental. Governments have to start to negotiate about the way to global zero NOW!

The "Pressehütte Mutlangen" and the European Youth Network BANg invite young people to meddle and observe the negotiations on the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty at the United Nations in New York. While the "Pressehütte Mutlangen" works on nuclear abolition since the cold war, BANg was founded after the failure of the last Review Conference of the Non-Proliferation Treaty in 2005.

Program

During the whole conference BANg offers young people willing to join the NPT conference a mix of...
… Workshops - Learn about nukes and spread your knowledge!
… Lobby work - Show the world that your voice counts!
… Actions - Get active to demonstrate your opinion!
… Sightseeing - Use the change and get to know New York!

Our main focus will be to spread the result of the conference around the world - however it looks like. For this we do press work to reach the young press around the world and start plans for a future campaign.
We also try to offer accommodation and accreditation to the UN for you, so please get in contact if you are interested.
